Oh hey, October! I am happy to finaaally share this wedding with you. It’s one that I’ve been so very excited about. Before I get into all the pretty details from this day, I have to say that I am feeling quite emotional as I’m counting down on the last few weddings that are left. Yes, I am excited for the nice break that awaits me in the off-season, BUT I always feel a little sad at the end of a season. Maybe it’s because I’ve shared so many beautiful memories with couples, but maybe it’s also because I’ve grown and learned so much along the way. Anyway, I think I will write-up a fun post highlighting the season in the near future. My mistakes, my advice for couples, my go-to tricks and tips, etc… they’re all worth talking about! :) OK, let’s get on with this wedding day!
Jenny and David! This darling couple met me at a coffee shop a little less than a year out before their wedding. They brought their sweet baby boy, Mason, and our first meeting was 50% adoring their son, the other 50% wedding talk. When Jenny and David shared their vision with me– I KNEW we were the perfect match. Jenny loves the bohemian, light, an airy look. For their engagement session, she wore a BEAUTIFUL dress from Anthropologie (seriously, I had so many people commenting her dress in my sneak peeks!). For her wedding, she wore Willow By Watters– another simple, and pretty dress that fit her style perfectly.
The forecast on that day was unpredictable. It was cloudy and grey, but then it was not. After the ceremony, it started to rain which was when portraits were happening! The amazing thing was that nobody was complaining (yes-winning!). The couple and bridal party were SO down for pictures with the clear umbrellas! Guys, this was my first wedding in the rain! My anxiety and nervousness melted away as soon as we started taking pictures. Man, everything was perfect minus my shoes getting soaked (I bought another pair of dress, but not shoes). I multi-tasked holding an umbrella and shooting away with the other hand. It was FUN. The best part was that everyone was laughing and having a good time! Easy-peasy for me! :)
It was a long eventful day to say the least. I covered about 13 hours- wahooooo! The night ended with a LEGIT dance party. No, not like the same-crowd-dancing-
Jenny and David, you guys will always have a special place in my heart because of the relationship we’ve built, and the kindness you guys brought to me. May your love forever grow.
